Marriage License: You’ll need a marriage license before your ceremony. Apply for one at the St. Louis County Courthouse. The application fee is only $48! Visit the St. Louis County Courts website for more information on this.
Ceremony Time: Weddings at the courthouse are performed every Wednesday. Head to the 3rd floor of the St. Louis County Courthouse at 105 South Central Ave, in Clayton. Arrive early—be there by 12 PM to secure your spot, as it’s first-come, first-served. You will be provided a number indicating your place in line. The higher your number, the longer the wait, so come prepared. Pro tip: The waiting rooms can get warm, so consider bringing a portable fan if you’re prone to get hot 🙂
Bring Your Witnesses: While having witnesses is optional, bringing family or friends can make the day even more special. If it’s just the two of you, that’s perfectly fine, too.
